one of the many Norwegian meals! they eat a lot of them:)
off for more sight-seeing
June, our chauffeur/translator/humorist
cute
Flekkefjord - This is a monument to the Norwegians who ran the underground movement ruling WWII and who were killed because of it - Ole's uncle, Trygve, was tortured and sent to a concentration camp where he eventually died. His brother, Sverre, (grandpa Sverre) had the chance to rescue him before he got sent there but Trygve refused because he knew the Germans would kill his entire family if they got caught - it was a great sacrifice, and is inspiring to think about what that one sacrifice meant for the whole Jensen family -
Tom-Arne and elisabeth and their cute kids - We stayed in their cabin and they were so great to be with
before our fishing/boating outing with Odd and Kjell - the boys ended up sea-sick over the edge, but they caught us a lot of fish for dinner - And the girls enjoyed a sweet boat ride to Mandall, our shopping destination:)
oh Anne-eline (sp?) she cooked up a storm for us, baked us bread, planned the trip - love her!
