Sverre and I went on the Pioneer Trek in June - It is such an awesome experience - We've done it once before and each time I have been amazed and humbled at the sacrifices the pioneers made not only on the trek, but throughout their whole lives- I was 6 months pregnant, got sausage fingers and feet from walking so much but at least I didn't have to HAVE A BABY on the trail, in the middle of the freezing nowhere like those pioneers did- man, I cannot imagine -
I absolutely love these scultptures depicting the men who brought the starving and sick pioneers over the freezing Sweetwater river -
I'm thinking that everyone should start campaigning now to go on their stake's next Pioneer Trek, signs and everything:)
