We went to St. George a couple of weekends ago to watch the boys in the Ironman - Sverre, bro-in-law Mick, and my two brothers, Jeff and Scott took wagers on who would take the gold -Unfortunately, the swim turned out to be awful for Sverre and that was the end for him - bummer - But the rest of them suffered through the suffer-fest and finished it - It was really fun to watch
Our white-trash cheering spot. We parked in front of some poor lad's house and took over his sidewalk with our dirty kids, cold pizza and lawn chairs
This tree gu and makeshift shovels kept the kids entertained forever
There's Scottie with a hottie body on mile 12 of the marathon - He was doing great
Jane and aunt Rachel
Jeffie on mile 12 of the marathon(this is after a 2.4 mile 4-foot wave swim, a 110 mile super windy bike and then a hot run - brutal - we reluctantly gave up some of our sidewalk property to let him stretch his calves....that's true love jeff, don't forget it
Mick always had a smile on his face and said he was doing great, even though his sweet white tube socks were the only thing getting him through, I think
the cheering squad

| Scottie was the winner, the first of the guys through the finish line - they all did so awesome, it is really inspiring to be at the finish line of an ironman, it's such a great accomplishment and I'm so glad we were there to watch all of them - |
a cool picture of the swim and the waves starting to pick up - The guy who won the whole thing said it was the hardest swim he's ever done - so windy, wavy, the lifeboats were overturning with wind and people - 600 people didn't finish the swim, such bummer timing for a windstorm!! But kudos for all the people who finished that beast!
