NYC - Last Hoorah

 We took our last hoorah trip to NYC to see my parents - they come home in June (and we are so excited) but we knew we needed to take advantage of our last bit of free lodging in New York,  so all the couples met for the weekend.  it was so fun~  This is after our vicious game of kick ball in Central Park.  As you can see, Mike is getting a surprise mega wedgie from Sverre and Todd - but he sure doesn't seem to be minding it:)

 oh man, we went to the Museum of Modern Art in the city.  i was fine for the first 17 minutes, but after I kept seeing displays like these over and over, my appreciation for modern art went down the drain and I wanted to run for the hills - seriously people?  two while canvases with a navy blue border?

This finding-a-corner-to-answer-the phone basically describes the life of a mission president.  There's never any resting from calls, questions, problems and missionary woes.  They have loved their mission, and especially love those missionaries. It has been really inspiring to see how much work goes into running a mission.

It was so great to go one last time to New York, to all spend time together sans kids - thanks to mom and dad for always being so generous, so fun, and for being such a good examples to us.  and mom, thanks for all your one liners that you don't even know are funny- they are so very classic:)
