yes.

Yes that is a pumpkin. And it wasn't even the biggest one there - A couple Saturdays ago, Sverre announced we were off to the largest pumpkin contest at a little farm in Littleton. It was a seriously sweet attraction for the Jensen family seeing as Sverre has been unsuccessfully trying to spread the love of how fun he thinks it would be to grow an abnormally large pumpkin in our backyard. And our past attempts have only grown to be the size of a volleyball. Anyway, we're making this a tradition, and renewing our efforts to one day be a respectable part of that contest

And to make things even better, or worse, depending on your palate, they even had hot dogs. I love them, I won't deny it. So we had Sprite and hot dogs for lunch, really, what could be better?:)

The start of the pumpkin carve

Note to self. Even though I really love gourd looking pumpkins, they are HARD to carve. Sverre resorted to the power drill which we've decided to use every year for any pumpkin. It is a major step above being the lone, left-behind parent hand carving the kid's pumpkins with a weak knife, while the kids have moved on to bigger and better things.
